Catalog management

Catalog management

A catalogue is a collection of groups, categories and products to which rights can be granted. This makes it possible to give your own prices to categories and products per catalogue.

With a catalog, categories and products can be shown or hidden from users. In addition, a catalogue may have a specific price calculation, such as discount or surcharge on categories and products for a specific group.

You can navigate to catalog management in two different ways.
Directly from the Backoffice to Catalog Management via the Catalog Management button:

The second way is through the specific group for which a catalogue must be created. Go into the back office via "Groups" to the relevant group and click on the "Catalog management" button.

Create a catalogue

To create a new catalog, go to the blank field next to the green button 'Add' and enter a name for the catalog here. Then click on "Add". The catalog has now been created.

No groups, categories or products have been selected yet.

Link categories and products to a catalogue

The catalogue can also determine which categories and products the users from the linked group(s) may see and order.
The tab "Categories and Products" tab is automatically selected and shows all categories and products that areCategories and Productshave been created. The first column contains the names of the categories and products; which also shows the category structure. In the second column, the products that must be visible in the webshop can be checked.

Linking all products from a category

By ticking a category, all underlying categories, when there are, and products are automatically selected.
  1. Select the catalogue
  2. Check the category to link all underlying products to the catalog
  3. Click Save
It is possible to uncheck it separately. If all categories and products need to be selected, you can tick or uncheck the box in the header of the column.

  2. Check the products that users can see and order
  3. Click Save

Link a catalog to a group

Once the catalogue is created, it can be linked to one or more groups. This can be done on theGroupspage, but also on the Catalog Management page itself:

Select the catalog and then select the "Groups" tab. Here you will find an overview of all groups.

Check the right group(s).
If the desired group is not present, theGroupmust be created.

When groups are linked to the catalogue, all users within these groups can see the products in the webshop selected in the catalogue.
Alert
Watch out!
A group can only be linked to one catalog, but multiple groups can be linked to a catalog.

Set allowance or discount

A surcharge or a discount can be chosen at different levels.

For the entire catalogue

Select the catalog and click the pencil at the end of the line.
Fill in the percentage and select whether this should be calculated as a surcharge or a discount. The percentage chosen here applies to all products associated with this catalog and to all orderers in the selected groups. You can also choose whether this surcharge or discount should also be calculated on the starting costs.

After adjusting click on the save button.
With the two other buttons, the catalog can be duplicated or removed.

For a category

Select the catalog, and then a category rule in that catalog. Now a window opens under the tabs at the top of the list:

Enter a percentage and choose between surcharge or a discount for the entire category of the chosen catalog. Then click on the save button. Behind the category name is now the discount or surcharge. From that moment on, a discount will be charged for the products in that specific category and this specific catalogue.

By product

Select a catalogue and go to the product where a surcharge or discount must be set. Enter the percentage and select whether it is a surcharge or a discount. By clicking on the update arrow, the Product Price is visibly recalculated and adjusted and shows what the new product price would be after saving.

With a product, not only a surcharge or a discount can be chosen, but also manually a different price can be entered manually. For products with a staffel or option, the prices cannot be adjusted; these are recognizable by the grey field.

In addition, you can choose whether a product can be ordered with or without budget. If the second knock has been checked, the product may not be settled with the budget of the orderer.
Budgets can be created and allocated on theBudgetspage.

Info
The adjusted prices only apply to the selected catalogue; the prices of the products for the other catalogues remain unchanged.

The asterisk (*) after the product name means that something has been adjusted for that product in the catalogue: for example, it has been selected whether something changes in the surcharge / discount or product price.
