Here, the InDesign templates can be uploaded, downloaded and stored structured in folders. It is possible to create folders and sub-folders in which the templates can be placed.
The folder structure where the templates income can be classified in any way desired; for example at company level and/or template types.
In the left part of the screen is an overview of all folders with the underlying sub-folders. Clicking the + for the root folder shows the underlying sub-folders.
In the right part of the screen there is an overview of all templates that are located in the selected folder.
Create a template folder
To create a new folder, or root folder, select the root '/' and click on new folder at the bottom. At the bottom of the page you can enter the name of the folder. By clicking 'Save', the folder with the entered name is created.
If you want to create a subfolder, select the relevant root folder and click on a new folder at the bottom. Again, a name can be entered at the bottom of the page. By clicking 'Save', the subfolder with the entered name is created. The folder structure is automatically organized alphabetically.
Upload a new template
Select a folder or subfolder in which the template should be placed
Click 'New in the right window at the bottom right.
Click 'Choose file' and select the zip package (InDesign) that you want to upload to this folder.
Then click on 'Save'. Now the package is extracted and the inDesign file will be displayed.
Download a template
Find and select the template you want to download. Click 'Download', select whether the file will need to be opened or saved and click 'OK'. Now the zip package is downloaded. In the case of opening the file, it will be placed in the Temp folder and the Explorer is open. In case of saving the file, the file can be found at Downloads.
Delete a template
Find and select the template you want to delete. Click on 'Delete'.
If the template is still linked to a publication, it cannot be deleted and you will receive a notification:
