How do I open an FTP folder?

Set up access to the server

Via an FTP folder you can access files that are on the server. This makes it possible to access and manage the CSS templates.

An FTP folder must first be created by ISI. Please contact us for this:Professional services.


The FTP data is sent by support and can then be used to log in with an FTP client (for example Filezilla:https://filezilla-project.org/).

Creating FTP directory

You can create an FTP directory via the following steps (Signed out for Filezilla):
  1. Go tothe 'Site Manager' (File > Site Manager OR button below File)
  2. Then choose 'New Site' here and give the directory you are going to add an appropriate name (for example: website - CSS)
  3. Fill in your received details on the right. Under the tab 'General' tab as follows:
Host: Receiving from ISI
Port: Can you ignore?

Protocol: FTP - File Transfer Protocol
Encryption: Use explicit FTP over TLS if available
Logon Type: Normal
User:Received from ISI
Password:Received from ISI



  1. Then go to the tab 'Advanced' tab and enter the received remote directory in the field 'Default remote directory' field and then click on 'OK'.


You have now added the site to your FTP client and saved it in your Site Manager. Now when you go to Site Manager by file, you can open the FTP folder to add or modify files here.



When the FTP directory is created to the CSS folder, you can change and add CSS templates yourself (read: duplicate and rename). By default, only the 'default' interface is present. This is the basic interface template that can be used to create a new CSS template.
